Course Content
At the end of the course the student will have acquired the knowledge to orient and operate in the health and social contexts in order to contribute to the promotion of the well-being of the person and of the family, applying the logic of Family Nursing, integrating the network of services, groups, operators and community professionals.
The student will also have the knowledge to use specific professional skills aimed to identify situations of distress and enable appropriate interventions.

Beyond developing the student's capacity for orientation in psychiatric nosography (bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, pathological personalities), epistemological reflection will be solicited as well as the ability to observe one's own experiences in front of the psychiatric patient and hospitalized in medical departments or surgery.
Examples will be provided with clinical situations of patients with pathological personality and drug-taking as well as particular attention will be paid to the psychic alterations present in the areas of organic pathology (brain neoplasms or endocrine diseases)

The magical-religious model, the psychiatric hospital, community psychiatry. Biological, Psychological, Social, cognitive area (consciousness, memory, intelligence, perception, ideation), affective-emotional area, instinctual area. Prevalence and Incidence, Vulnerability, Risk Factors, Macro-social factors, Precipitants and protective factors. WHO, APA. Concepts of Neurosis and psychosis; Insight or awareness of illness. Panic disorder, Phobias, Obsessive-compulsive disorder, Generalized anxiety, Post Traumatic Disorder; Depressive Bipolar and Mixed Disorders. Compliance, drug treatments, psychoeducation, psychosocial rehabilitation, family work.
