The course discusses the evolution of agricultural systems by linking the concepts about the origin of the main crops with current and future developments of the biotechnology sector in order to meet the needs of a sustainable agriculture. The course aims to stimulate interest in applications and issues addressed in the agricultural curriculum and clarifying the main environmental interactions at the level of the farming system in biotic and abiotic components.
