- The contents of the experiences of the third year internship are related to the construction of the skills necessary to take charge of the assisted person starting from the functional evaluation to arrive at the evaluation of the final outcomes

Learning Objectives
At the end of the course the student will have built skills regarding:
1.Acquire the skills necessary for planning (define objectives and program, including therapeutic education and any aids and outcome measures, collaborate drafting of the Individual Rehabilitation Project when appropriate) and implementation of physiotherapy intervention in the different settings(acute hospital, intensive hospital or extra-hospital rehabilitation, residential facilities, outpatient, home) in subjects with movement disorders resulting from damage neurological problems, damage to the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular problems, respiratory problems (and in general all the problems that need physiotherapy intervention) in the different age groups
2.Acquire the skills necessary to define the auxiliary plan
3.Acquire skills related to the retrieval and interpretation of scientific research data
Prerequisites
Having passed the internship exam of the first and second year
Teaching Methods
Tutor-led theoretical-practical exercises in specific settings of Physiotherapy services
Further information
Close and continuous contact is required between the Director of Training Activities and the clinical tutors of the internship
Type of Assessment
Final compost examination on a theoretical side and a practical exercise in simulation or directly on the assisted person
Course program
The third year internship programme consists of the following activities:
- Define functional diagnosis
- Define the functional prognosis and possible short- and long-term objectives
- Collaborate in the drafting of the individual rehabilitation project
- Define the physiotherapy treatment plan
- Implement the procedures provided for in the physiotherapy treatment plan
- Identify the necessary aids and orthotics, including environmental adaptations, and adapt them to the person when necessary
-Pack orthotics for the upper limb (splint)
- Define the necessary outcome measures for the verification of the expected results
- Carry out the verification of the results obtained and make any necessary changes to the treatment plan
