Type of Assessment
Attenders: they will take the final examonly orally; their exam will concern and assess the knowledge of the subject matters broached in lectures and those ones contained in the books n.1 and n.2 of the program. During the course, attenders will have to take two intermediate written tests;
Non-Attenders: they will take the final exam orally as well; theirexam will concern and assess the knowledge of information and topicscontained in the books n.1, n.2. Non-Attenders have to send the Professor a written review of those 3 books one month before their oral exam; for each text, the review will consist in 4/5pages in which the candidate will have to illustrate the content of the book, also expressing, if he/she wishes, his/her own critical opinion about;
Course program
- In the first part of the lectures, we willspecifically focus on the concepts of Education and Pedagogy. On that circumstance, we will study the complex matter of Educational Sciences in depth, paying a great deal of attention to the main pedagogical disciplines, such as: Early Childhood Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy, Pedagogy of Family, Didactics, Children’s Literature, etc. A special deal of attention will be paid to the concept of “Care”, representing the epistemological foundations of pedagogical reflection and educational practices. Finally, we will also focus on educational research, from a quantitative andalso a qualitative point of view. In the second part of the lectures, we will pay specific attention to Motor Education and Pedagogies of the Body; therefore we will broach many different subject matters, such as: the intelligences of the body, the relationship between body and disability, and between sport and personal development and training; the relationship between sport and school, sport and playing; the role of the sports coach; the identity building process; the dimensions of socialization.
